Set within one of the world’s most distinctive and vulnerable ecosystems, the project centers on the story of the Galápagos itself: its biodiversity, its scientific importance, and its global relevance. At the same time, it highlights the work of the Charles Darwin Foundation, whose research and conservation efforts have supported the protection of the archipelago for decades. Our role is to turn that layered story into an experience that feels accessible, grounded, and meaningful.

Co-creating an engaging scientific experience

Following a successful pitch MAST, YIPP, Hüttinger and Circuleren, defined the core concept, spatial direction, and initial visual language for the museum. From there, the project is evolving into a fully developed experience: translating complex scientific content into an accessible and engaging narrative for an international audience.

What to expect from the new visitor center

Through immersive environments, interactive moments, and carefully structured storytelling, the exhibition will guide visitors from curiosity to awareness, and from awareness to action. The project integrates circular design principles and local co-creation from the start, ensuring that the way the museum is built reflects the conservation story it tells.
