This exhibition is about video games and everything that happens around them. Playing together, watching each other play, talking about games afterwards, and the way gaming brings people together.Rather than focusing only on video games themselves, the exhibition highlights everything that happens around them: playing together, watching others play, discussing games afterwards, and the communities that gaming creates.

The exhibition is organised around a large circular structure. At the centre, visitors find a calm space with facts, stories, and room for conversation and reflection. Around this central area, the exhibition opens into four more active zones where visitors can play, explore different topics, and try games for themselves.

The exhibition is divided into four zones, each exploring a different side of gaming. Colour helps give every zone its own identity, while recurring round shapes and soft edges connect them into one visual language. Together, they create an environment that feels playful, friendly, and easy to explore. Illustrator Vanni Vaps developed the key illustrations for the exhibition together with MAST. His playful, expressive style brought humour, character, and energy to the space, making the different themes accessible and inviting for visitors of all ages.

One visual language
The visual world continued beyond the physical exhibition. Together with Vanni, we created custom illustrations for related articles on NEMO Kennislink, an online gaming dictionary, and a series of cards for the opening event. This allowed the identity of Game On to carry through across the exhibition, digital content, and communication around the project.

Designed for reuse
The exhibition was developed as a modular system using wooden elements that can be taken apart or fully reused. This approach was part of the design from the start, allowing the components to be adjusted, reassembled, and given another life after the exhibition.MAST remained involved throughout the full process, from the first concept and spatial design to the graphics, production, installation, and opening.
