Discovering technology by doing
Together with our project partners, YIPP, Bind and Bruns we are developing an immersive experience that immerses students in the world of technology. Through five challenges built around future focused themes, including the energy transition, healthcare technology, port and industry, programming and IT, and circularity, visitors are invited to explore their interests, and find out where their strengths might lie. Digital games, hands-on activities, and immersive moments help them see how technology can connect to possible study paths and future careers, while the spatial experience builds tension, excitement, and surprise along the way. The experience will open 2027.
Design that empowers, not intimidates
In the design, MAST worked with colours, rounded shapes, soft forms, and warm materials to make the space feel welcoming from the start. Technology is visible throughout the environment through transparent layers and fun details, but always in a way that feels approachable rather than intimidating. This design approach was tested with the target audience to make sure the space creates positive anticipation and supports the intended feeling: a place that inspires young people to explore, experiment, and imagine themselves as part of this world.
